Following All British Casino community meetings three artists have been commissioned

Dufi Art - Mobile Foundry - Del Whitticase

As public art is a very emotive topic it is very important that our next stage is shaped directly by local people. Each artist has been visiting Invergordon over the last couple of weeks to make contact with the community groups that they intend working with.

Dufi Art (Foundations) attended a supper at St. Josephs enjoying samosas, spring rolls, scones, brownies and a table full of other delights. Around the room were a welcoming and friendly group of people, representing seven different nationalities, highlighting the diverse culture of Invergordon. The Gaelic element of Evolution is supported by the Highland Culture Fund.

We were delighted to welcome the Mobile Foundry (Fusions) for a weekend workshop at the Saltburn Centre, https://chip.casino/en/ Invergordon. Children and adults alike were keen to try their hand at clay and wax modelling, pewter casting, sketching and drawing, flag making and litho printing.

Del Whitticase (Reflections) has already been zooming around Invergordon researching the history, the layout, the culture. We are waiting with anticipation as to what he plans to do next! He has already made contact with some youth groups and the Isobel Rhind Centre.

Our artists will be round and about the town gathering ideas before the all-important design stage.
