KILDARY ANGLING CLUB

The loch (Lochanan) is located at Kildary just off the A9. The loch was created in the 1920's in an area where quarrying for sand and aggregate had occurred for the past century.

The loch is managed by the Kildary Angling Club which has over one hundred members and is stocked with rainbow and brown trout.

The loch is recognised as outstanding, both scenically and for its abundance of wildlife.

The loch has featured on the BBC and has a dedicated book written by Roy Dennis.
